Day 119 - my apologies

Hi Everybody, I hope your holidays are/were/are going to be relaxing/special/exciting. I would just like to say sorry for being such a lazy blogger. I haven't been writing anything and I haven't been responding to comments (even though I so truly appreciate them!!) for what seems like a very long time now. But those days will be over soon. Even though 2010 is going to be crazy busy, I promise to keep you better informed about makeshift goings on (going ons?) (goings ons?) (the more you write it, the weirder it looks - do you ever get that?) You could even call it a New Year's resolution of sorts. I won't call it that because we all know how New Year Resolutions go, but either way, there will be plenty of good times ahead. That much I know for sure.

Day 103 -Super Surprise pick-ups start today!

Day 102 - makeshift "store"

I have been crocheting and felting up a storm for the past few weeks and now have some accessories that are available to buy at the makeshift space in Gastown. Tomorrow will be the first day of the makeshift "Store" so stop by between noon and 6pm to check it out. There are scarves, wraps, collars, and mitts.

Tomorrow will also be the first day for Super! Surprise! Round 2 pick ups so it will be an all- around exciting day.

The Makeshift "Store" will also be open on Thursday the 17th, Friday the 18th, Saturday the 19th and Sunday the 20th for surprise pick ups and last minute Christmas shopping.

Days 97 & 98 - Pants!

Can you believe it? I actually made a bonafide pair of pants! They are made from thick, stretchy black cotton twill. I was supposed to be making myself a new pair of shoes yesterday but instead I made a pair of pants, a pair of cotton fleece mitts, a new hat and I finished crocheting this scarf that I started the other day. Not bad for a Sunday afternoon, right?

Day 96 - Tool Talk Tonight

Please come to the Western Front Lodge tonight for the launch of the winter issue of front magazine. The theme for this isssue is tools so 3 artists (including me) will be doing short presentations on one tool that relates to our art practices. I will be presenting a Bic Lighter. And there will be two other performances as well. I think it will be fun. It starts at 9:30pm.
