Days 332 & 333 - International Chilliwack Biennial

The Instant Coffee Urban Disco Trailer behind me

Wow - Who knew how much fun car camping could really be? The International Chilliwack Biennial, organized by Artspeak, Or Gallery and the Bodgers and Kludger's Co-operative Art Parlour, was a very awesome camping/art event that took place at Cultus Lake for 2 days and 2 nights. For a mid-week camping event I was amazed to see that at least half of Vancouver's art scene was already there when I arrived on Wednesday night! There were performances (the band Kick Everything played an accoustic set that was really sweet), installations, large and small sculptural works, screenings, slideshows, blood sausages containing road-side apples from trees grown from apple core's thrown out of windows of passing cars designed by ?? I can't remember who, and much much more. Besides art there was also lake swimming! Did I mention lake swimming? Anyway, it was really fun. There was a lot of tequila.

Back at home, still slightly hung over.
